A platform for BIPOC businesses to exist in an untrammelled space that doesn’t trivialize our need for support but rather incentivizes the need to do so as paramount to provide equal opportunity and a better future.
Our marketplace is open for everyone to buy, share, and sell. where we differ from other platforms is our icons that customers can easily identify while browsing on our site. This empowers numerous BIPOC businesses amongst other’s who also need a platform to stand out in a positive way.
It’s easier to make a problem than it is to make a difference, to make an actual difference you have to actually do something new and actually innovative. Innovation is often used as an excuse to defend actions that haven’t brought actual changes that BIPOC community has been demanding for centuries because it insinuates risk and an open mind to try new things. This perpetuates the idea of actually creating something new, instead of just acknowledging something is wrong and trying to correct it in an actual new way. At UJIMAA our vision is to actually create something new, a new platform for BIPOC businesses to stand out in a positive way.
